Membership gets you cheaper rounds, a key to the range on days we’re not open to the public, discounts at club shoots, and a vote in how the club is run. Individual membership is $150 a year; family membership is $175.
Member benefits
- Member discount – Rounds are $6 for members, $9 for non-members Discounts apply to family memberships too. (see Hours & Pricing for details).
- Virtual key – Senior members can unlock the club and shoot 12 to 6 PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and federal holidays, if the club isn’t already open to the public.
- Event discounts – Members and their families save up to $25 on non-ATA club events and pay only $6 a round for pie shoots.
- Club Championship – Members and junior members are eligible to put their name on the Club Championship trophy.
- Night shooting – Discounted rates under the lights on Wednesdays in the fall.
- Life membership – After 15 years, senior members become life members. No other NJ trap club offers this.
- Family membership – One of only three NJ trap clubs that offer it, and the lowest dues of the three.
- Free food – Provided at every club-sponsored event.
Membership types

| Junior | A member’s child under 22. Juniors shoot in club events as members but don’t vote or pull range duty. At 22 they move to individual membership and can’t be turned away because of the membership cap. |
What we ask of members
- Attend at least two of the four membership meetings a year. Meetings are the second Thursday of March, June, September, and December.
- Take a turn at range duty. Range duty is paid.
- New members attend an orientation, held the last Sunday of the month during normal hours.
- Every application is subject to approval by the membership committee and the board.

Dues are due by December 31 for the following year. New members joining mid-year pay a prorated amount for the months remaining, plus the initiation fee. For example, an individual joining in April pays $120 in dues plus the $25 initiation fee, $145 in all.
How to join
- Download and print the membership application.
- Bring the completed application to the club on any public shooting day, with your driver’s license and Firearms ID card.
- Bring a check made out to Mallard Trap Club for the prorated dues plus the $25 initiation fee.
